This show only has the most tangential relationship with the original series
Narrative
Follows Madeline Matlock as she rejoins the work force at a prestigious law firm, where she uses her wily tactics to win cases and expose wrongdoing.. A gender-flipping takeoff on the original 1986 TV series of the same name, Matlock (1986), starring Andy Griffith in the title role of criminal defense attorney Ben Matlock.
This would have Verified identity, address, current license status, disciplinary actions, etc
For legal reasons they had to give Dean Hargrove a "based on the series Matlock" credit.. For Matlock to be hired by a New York law firm they would have had to have checked her law license status through one of three official mechanisms, each of which is carefully managed by the state.
Remake of Matlock (1986)
Cathy Bates was a great choice in the leading role, cunning, intelligent, it’s going to be a wonderful season with cutting edge plots and twists. Plus the cast is great (you will love the past references from the original TV show with Andy Griffith).
You won’t be disappointed
It has a wonderful cast, with a few plot thinking characters. Don’t miss out on this new show if it is when any other show you watch, weather it be sports or anything else DVR the show and extend the time.
Again Cathy Bates played a great part in this show
The 2nd show I watched with my wife and we both loved the show from the start and to the end.
