Three strangers – who live in the same apartment building in New York and share an obsession with true crime – suddenly find themselves involved in a murder. He is actually a very successful and talented musician. The viewer learned in the first episode that CHS lives above Oliver who lived above Mabel, with that scene in the elevator.

BUT the opener has CHS in an apartment on the 7th floor, Oliver on the 8th, Mabel on the 9th-in reverse order and well below CHS' the actual suitable kat within the series.. When the initial episodes of the series 'Just the murders in the building' started putting 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, I must admit that I was skeptical that Steve Martin and co could maintain the quirky fun nature of this comedy thriller series until the last episode. But Martin Short, Selena Gomez and he make an unlikely but raucous trio that keeps us engaged and entertained until the last episode of this brilliantly written, infectiously funny series.

Steve Martin and the fantastic Martin Short star as a pair of old performers who run into young Gild (Gomez) who is also a murder podcast fanatic. Although some humorous investigative series' they had huge fan bases like Monk (2002-09) and Psych (2006-14) this genre has always been a tightrope walk that most creators shied away from. Finding humor in the most unlikely places and filled with unexpected twists and loads of lovable supporting characters, it’s no surprise that Steve Martin was also one of the creative geniuses behind writing this piece.

Immensely intoxicating, tense, laughter!

Leaving us on a tantalizing knife edge with a climactic climax, I can’t wait for Season 2. Worth a 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating. Highly recommended!
