Cinefiliando-Peliculeando: El tiempo que tenemos (We Live in Time) (2024)
Narrative
A would-be chef and a recent divorcee find their lives forever changed when a chance encounter brings them together in a decade-long, deeply moving romance. When Florence Pugh couldn’t make it to the film’s premiere due to other filming commitments, Andrew Garfield brought a life-size cutout to fill in for her absence.
I went to see this movie during a free preview
Is It a Sin Written by Al Hazan Starring Allie Hazan. I had high hopes because both of the leads are phenomenal actors.
You get to know the characters
I wanted to love this movie, but it felt disconnected. Most movies where something mysterious/emotional happens have a build-up.
You feel connected to them
In this case, that wasn’t the case. It was hard to really feel anything about what was happening.
This movie was made for Netflix, not the big screen
I’m also not a fan of movies where they combine multiple timelines that jump back and forth. Especially when there’s not much to tell you which timeline you’re watching.
