The plot had holes big enough to drive an armored truck
Armed cash transports rely heavily on GPS tracking systems to improve security. If something goes wrong – be it an accident, an attack, or an unexpected stop – GPS data helps emergency responders understand the situation and get to the vehicle quickly.. I thought Armor was well-cast, but that’s about the only good thing I can say about it.
It also arrives at the right time
Not my first choice of what to take in a heist with a plastic explosive. Bullets fly, grenades explode, cars easily engage in a game of bumper tag on deserted roads at low speeds, but no one notices any of it. The shooting on a bridge is presented as hours long, but not a single car passes by until conveniently needed.
Stallone talked a lot but did little
The houses are close to the so-called ‘action’, within easy hearing distance, but no one calls about explosions or gunfire. The roads through the Nevada desert are heavily congested. I guess that’s to be expected at this stage in his career.
Not bad, but not great
The whole movie screwed up my sense of incredulity and really disappointed me. There was no sense of realism. Watch it if you have nothing else to fill your time; don’t expect much from the experience.
