Jean Reno shot some scenes for the film but they were cut entirely from the finished film
Narrative
A high-powered executive risks his career and family when he begins a steamy affair with his much younger intern.
Saw it at the Venice Film Festival in the main hall with the cast
The film is exciting and bold, with a good soundtrack and great performances by Nicole Kidman, Antonio Banderas (he has some really good moments) and Harris Dickinson.
I think the scripts start out quiet and ordinary but then get more interesting with the final look at sexuality and women, which is really remarkable
Halina Reijin is also an experienced director, who also included a fantastic club scene in this film (one of the best club scenes I’ve ever seen in my life, as if she wanted the entire Venice audience to reveal the hidden animal inside them).
Also, Kidman clearly dominates the entire film with a performance that I’m sure will always be remembered
The film will probably be released at Christmas and I can only say that is absolutely right 🙂
